Enjoying a Cone (Sold $2000)
This is my first attempt at using black pastel with Ampersand claybord. I am fairly confident that it is a first and thus truly one-of-a-kind.
POEM-NEW YEARâS RESOLUTION
My New Yearâs resolutions
Are soon forgotten delusions
About who I could be
Indeed, at times
I might like to be a tree
Within a chorus
Of dropping leaves
In unison and harmony
To a forestâs drumbeat
And seasonâs cadence
Of songs never complete
Simply rhythms to repeat
As leaves restore each spring
A form of rehearsal
Year after year
Not unlike resolutions
In search
Of the illusive tree of life
Not found in any tree
But in the forestâs melody
In me.
