A Little Meditation
This may very well be the first ever scratchbord on claybord using pastel color. The primary tool used is a straight pin.
POAM-A LITTLE MEDITATION
Oh, to be a child again
With unfiltered thoughts
Blossoming wildly
As dandelions in spring
Beyond any horizon
A mind can imagine
Pedaling faster and faster
To a clock with no time
On vehicles perfectly designed
For destinations unknown
Going nowhere and everywhere
With friends formed easily
And changed as quickly
In times of innocence
Free of resentment
Jealousy and prejudice
Impervious to hate
And love is by default
Happiness not sought
Nor smiles contrived
To hide the frown
Sadness prefers
When being a child
Long since left behind
Yet lurking in the core
And a yearning to restore
That child inside.
